HomeMy WebLinkAbout2009-076 CCRits adoption: Member Mark Yelic introduced the following resolution and moved RESOLUTION NO. 2009 -76 RESOLUTION ADOPTING COMPREHENSIVE ANNUAL FINANCIAL REPORT OF THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2008 WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center is required by State Statute and City Charter to annually produce financial statements for submission to the Office of the State Auditor by June 30 each year; and WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center is required to provide an auditor's opinion as to the representations in the annual financial statements; and WHEREAS, the financial statements have been audited by the independent CPA firm of Malloy, Montague, Karnowski, Radosevich Co., P.A. as required; and WHEREAS, Malloy, Montague, Karnowski, Radosevich Co., P.A. opined that the general purpose financial statements present fairly, in all material respects, the financial position of the City of Brooklyn Center as of December 31, 2008. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the City of Brooklyn Center for the calendar year ended December 31, 2008, and all supporting documentation, is hereby adopted as the official financial record for the 2008 fiscal year. June 8, 2009 Date i ATTEST: City Clerk Mayor The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Dan Ryan and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Tim Willson, Kay Lasman, Tim Roche, Dan Ryan, and Mark Yelich; and the following voted against the same: none; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
