RESOLUTION NO. 95 -130
introduced the following resolution and
RESOLUTION AMENDING SPECIAL ASSESSMENT LEVY ROLL NO. 13131 TO
PROVIDE FOR THE AWARD OF AN ASSESSMENT STABILIZATION GRANT
FOR THE JAMES /KNOX STREET IMPROVEMENT
WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the City
Council has met and heard and passed upon all objections to the proposed Special Assessment
Levy No. 13131 for the following improvements:
KNOX /JAMES 54TH AVENUES STREET IMPROVEMENT
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1994 -01
WHEREAS, Special Assessment Levy No. 13131 was approved by the City
Council on September 12, 1994; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted an Assessment Stabilization Program
to provide economic assistance to low income property owners in the form of grants to reduce
or pay in full their special assessments for street improvement projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that:
1. Certain property owners are eligible for a grant to pay some part of their
special assessment. Special Assessment Levy No. 13131 is hereby
amended to reduce the following assessments as noted:

PID AMOUNT REDUCED TO
02- 118 -21 -44 -0097 $1550 $666.00
2. All costs associated with these grants shall be funded from Local State Aid
Account #2900.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Kristen Mann and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in
favor thereof:
Myrna Kragness, Kristen Mann, Barb Kalligher, Debra Hilstrom, and Kathleen Carmody;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
