Member Kathleen Carmody introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION DESIGNATING 1995 PLANTING LIST OF ALLOWABLE
BOULEVARD TREE SPECIES
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center promotes a diverse
urban forest so as to minimize the spread of tree disease; and
WHEREAS, section 20 -402 of the ordinances provides for an annual listing of
allowable boulevard tree varieties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that the following trees are hereby designated as allowable
boulevard tree species for 1995:
Ash (Autumn Purple)
Crabapple (Flowering) cultivars
Hackberry
Honeylocust (Imperial, Shademaster,
Skyline, Thornless)
Ironwood
Japanese Tree Lilac

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Kristen Mann and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in
favor thereof: Myrna Kragness, Kristen Mann, Debra Hilstrom, and Kathleen Carmody;
