Member Kathleen Carmody introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 95 -22
RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION AND APPRECIATION OF
AGATHA ECKMAN FOR HER DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE ON THE
HUMAN RIGHTS AND RESOURCES COMMISSION
WHEREAS, Agatha Eckman served on the Brooklyn Center Human Rights and
Resources Commission from October 13, 1986, through December 31, 1994; and
WHEREAS, her public service and civic effort for the betterment of the
community merit the gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center; and
WHEREAS, her leadership and expertise have been greatly appreciated by the
Brooklyn Center Human Rights and Resources Commission; and
WHEREAS, it is highly appropriate that her service to the community should be
recognized and expressed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center that the dedicated public service of Agatha Eckman is hereby recognized and
appreciated by the City of Brooklyn Center.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Debra Hilstrom and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in
favor thereof: Myrna Kragness, Kristen Mann, Debra Hilstrom, and Kathleen Carmody;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
