HomeMy WebLinkAbout1994-203 CCR1 1 adoption: that: ATTEST: September 26, 1994 Date Deputy Clerk RESOLUTION NO. 94 -203 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Dave Rosene and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Todd Paulson, Celia Scott, Dave Rosene, and Kristen Mann; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. Member Kristen Mann introduced the following resolution and moved its RESOLUTION DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1994 -19 (SHINGLE CREEK PARKWAY MILL AND OVERLAY) WHEREAS, a contract was let for Street Improvement Project No. 1994 -19, Shingle Creek Parkway Mill and Overlay; and WHEREAS, the cost to be assessed to the benefitted properties is estimated to be $189,494; and WHEREAS, the Deputy City Clerk, with the assistance of the Director of Public Services, has prepared a proposed assessment roll showing the proposed amount to be specifically assessed for such improvement against every assessable lot, piece, or parcel of land within the district affected, without regard to cash valuation, as provided by law. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center 1. That portion of the cost to be assessed against benefitted property owners is declared to be $189,494.00. 2. A hearing shall be held on the 24th day of October, 1994, in the City Hall Council Chambers at 7:00 p.m. to pass upon such assessment and at such time and place all persons owning property affected by such improvements will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such assessment. 3. The Deputy City Clerk is directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed assessment to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the hearing, and shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. 4. The Deputy City Clerk shall cause mailed notice to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the assessment roll not less than two weeks prior to the hearing. r Todd Paulson, Mayor
