HomeMy WebLinkAbout1994-095 CCRMember Dave Rosene introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 94 -95 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1994 -19, SHINGLE CREEK PARKWAY OVERLAY, FREEWAY BOULEVARD TO 69TH AVENUE NORTH, RECEIVING ENGINEER'S FEASIBILITY REPORT, AND CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING WHEREAS, the Capital Improvement Program recommends the resurfacing of Shingle Creek Parkway, from Freeway Boulevard to 69th Avenue North, for 1994; and WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared a feasibility report for the necessary improvements; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to further pursue and develop a program for improvements to be constructed in 1994, which includes the consideration of special assessments pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that: 1. Improvement Project No. 1994 -19, Shingle Creek Parkway Overlay, is hereby established. 2. The feasibility report as prepared by the City Engineer for the improvements is hereby received and accepted. 3. The City Engineer is hereby directed to prepare plans and specifications for said improvements. 4. The Council will consider Improvement Project No. 1994 -19 in accordance with the report, and the assessment of benefited properties for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429, at an estimated total cost of the improvement of $500,050. 5. A public hearing shall be held on the proposed improvement on the 13th day of June, 1994 in the Council Chambers at 7:30 p.m. local time and the Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvement as required by law. 1 1 1 RESOLUTION NO. 94 -95 ATTEST: 6.
