RESOLUTION NO. 94 -84
introduced the following
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AMENDED JOINT AND
COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT FOR NORTHWEST SUBURBS CABLE
COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION
WHEREAS, on June 22, 1981, the City Council adopted
Resolution No. 81 -129 authorizing Joint Powers Agreement for
Northwest Suburbs Cable Communications Commission; and
WHEREAS, a revised Joint Powers Agreement in accordance
with Minnesota Statutes Sections 238.08 and 471.59 has been
proposed by the Northwest Suburbs Cable Communications Commission
which would continue to provide the operating framework for the
joint powers organization, comprised of cooperating municipalities
in the Northwest Suburbs known as the Northwest Suburbs Cable
Communications Commission; and
WHEREAS, the general purpose of the Joint Powers
Agreement is to establish an organization to study, prepare, adopt,
grant, transfer, renew, administer, and enforce a cable
communications franchise(s) in member municipalities in the
Northwest suburbs of Hennepin County, Minnesota.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that it hereby authorizes and
directs its Mayor and City Manager to enter into and execute on
behalf of the City of Brooklyn Center the revised Joint and
Cooperative Agreement establishing the Northwest Suburbs Cable
Communications Commission.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Brooklyn Center hereby designates Todd Paulson and Gerald
Splinter to continue as Commissioners to the Northwest Suburbs
Cable Communications Commission.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by member Kristen Mann and upon vote being taken
thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Todd Paulson, Celia Scott, Dave Rosene, Barb Kalligher, and Kri Mann;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
