HomeMy WebLinkAbout1993-210 CCR1 1 1 Member Dave Rosene introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 93 -210 RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION AND APPRECIATION FOR THE PUBLIC SERVICE OF ORGANIZATIONS PARTICIPATING IN BROOKLYN CENTER'S ADOPT -A- PARK, ADOPT -A- TRAIL, AND ADOPT -A- STREET PROGRAMS WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center determined that it is in the City's interest to operate volunteer programs that involve the community in the maintenance of city parks, trails, and streets; and WHEREAS, the following organizations have generously volunteered their time and energy participating in the Adopt -A -Park, Adopt -A- Trail, and Adopt -A- Street programs. WHEREAS, it is appropriate that their service to the community be recognized. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the public service of the following groups is hereby recognized and appreciated: Boy Scout Troop #401 Brooklyn United Methodist Church Brooklyn Center Rotary Club Brooklyn Swim Club Brooklyn Center Community Oriented Policing Brooklyn Center Charter Commission Campfire Boys and Girls, Region B Children's World Cub Scout Pack 632, Den 9 Earle Brown Elementary 6th Grade Earle Brown Elementary Evergreen Park School P.T.O. Twin Lake Association Wes Holly Scott Willow Lane Student Council Todd Paulson, Mayor 1 1 RESOLUTION NO. 93 -210 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Barb Kalligher and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Todd Paulson, Celia Scott, Dave Rosene, Barb Kalligher, and Kristen Mann; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
