HomeMy WebLinkAbout1993-162 CCR1 1 1 Member Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 93 -162 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1993 -20, REPLACEMENT OF PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT IN CENTRAL PARK, ACCEPTING PROPOSAL, AND ALLOCATING FUNDS THEREFOR WHEREAS, the City's loss control consultant has reviewed the City's parks, recreational facilities,and programs, and has outlined a number of recommendations for improving safety; and WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has concluded that the playground apparatus in Central Park cannot be modified to meet the numerous standards that it does not now meet; and WHEREAS, proposals as follows for replacing the playground apparatus were obtained from two responsible contractors: Bidder Bid Minnesota Playground, Inc. Maxwell Diggs Const. $14,994.99 15,831.00 WHEREAS, it appears that Minnesota Playground, Inc. of Golden Valley, Minnesota, has provided the lowest responsible proposal. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that: 1. Improvement Project No. 1993 -20, Replacement of Playground Equipment in Central Park, is hereby established. 2. The proposal as submitted by Minnesota Playground, Inc. of Golden Valley, Minnesota is hereby accepted and the Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract, in the amount of $14,994.99, with Minnesota Playground in the name of the City of Brooklyn Center, for Improvement Project No. 1993 -20. 3.
