HomeMy WebLinkAbout1993-060 CCR1 1 Member Barb Kalligher introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 93 -60 RESOLUTION APPROVING LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH BROOKLYN CENTER AMERICAN LITTLE LEAGUE FOR USE OF A PORTION OF GARDEN CITY PARK WHEREAS, the Brooklyn Center American Little League (BCALL) owns property adjacent to the City's Garden City Park which is improved and used for little league baseball and associated activities; and WHEREAS, BCALL wishes to have access to additional property to develop and use one additional baseball field; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the best interest of the citizens of the City to provide for little league age baseball as a recreational activity and opportunity in the City but that it does not currently have funds to provide either all facilities or all programs that are in demand; and WHEREAS, BCALL is willing to provide such facilities and programs as defined and under the conditions defined in a non exclusive License Agreement presented to and reviewed by the City Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that said agreement is hereby approved. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to execute said agreement on behalf of the City.
