HomeMy WebLinkAbout1993-062 CCR1 1 1 Member Dave Rosene introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 93 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR 1993 DISEASED TREE REMOVAL, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1993 -01, CONTRACT 1993 -A WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Improvement Project No. 1993 -01, bids were received, opened, and tabulated by the Deputy City Clerk and City Engineer, on the 8th day of April, 1993. Said bids were as follows: Bidder Amount Outside Services, Inc. Dehn Tree Company, Inc. Ceres Tree Company 27,105.00 27,940.10 33,430.00 WHEREAS, it appears that Outside Services, Inc. of Anoka is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that: 1. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract, in the amount of 27,105.00, with Outside Services, Inc. of Anoka in the name of the City of Brooklyn Center, for Improvement Project No. 1993 -01, 1993 Diseased Tree Removal, according to the plans and specifications approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the Deputy City Clerk. 2. The Deputy City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all the bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposit of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. 3. All costs of this project shall be accounted for in the Diseased Tree Fund. 1 1 1 RESOLUTION NO. 93 -62 ATTEST: April 26, 1993 Date Todd Paulson, Mayor Deputy Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Barb Kalligher and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Todd Paulson, Celia Scott, Dave Rosene, Barb Kalligher, and Kristen Mann; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
