HomeMy WebLinkAbout1992-281 CCR1 1 1 Member Philip Cohen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: and ATTEST: RESOLUTION NO. 92 281 RESOLUTION APPROVING AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL APPRAISAL SERVICES RELATING TO PROPERTY IN THE SOUTHWEST QUADRANT OF THE I694 /BROOKLYN BOULEVARD INTERCHANGE, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1992 -29 WHEREAS, the City Council has established Improvement Project No. 1992 -29, Development of a Storm Water Treatment Pond in the southwest quadrant of the I694 /Brooklyn Boulevard interchange; and WHEREAS, acquisition of the 4.1 acre vacant parcel of property in that area is considered to be a critical element to implementation of that project; and WHEREAS, that parcel is now being actively marketed by its owners; WHEREAS, the City Council determines that it is important to obtain an independent appraisal of the value of that parcel; and WHEREAS, a proposal has been received from Peter J. Patchin Associates to conduct an independent appraisal of that property at an estimated cost of $3,500.00. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that: 1. The proposal of Peter J. Patchin Associates is hereby accepted. 2. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract with Peter J. Patchin Associates to conduct the appraisal on the basis of their proposal, at a cost not -to- exceed $3,500.00. December 14, 1992 Date Deputy Clerk Todd 1 Mayor The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Dave Rosene and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Todd Paulson, Celia Scott, Jerry Pedlar, Dave Rosene, and Philip Cohen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
