Member Philip Cohen introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council that the existing
electric power lines on 69th Avenue North between Brooklyn Boulevard and
Shingle Creek Parkway, should be removed and be replaced with underground
lines in conjunction with the proposed reconstruction of 69th Avenue
Improvement Project No. 1990 -10; and
WHEREAS, the Northern States Power Company has proposed to do said
work at a cost of $253,859.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of
Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that:
1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to enter into
an agreement with the Northern States Power Company to complete
said work at a cost of $253,859.

2. The costs for this work shall be charged to the Municipal State

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Dave Rosene and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof:
Todd Paulson, Dave Rosene, and Philip Cohen;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
