Member Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING PROJECT NO. 1992 -14, AIR QUALITY STUDY
OF CIVIC CENTER AND CITY GARAGE, ACCEPTING PROPOSAL TO CONDUCT
STUDY AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFORE
WHEREAS, the City's Employee Safety Committee has recommended that
the City hire an outside firm to conduct air quality and air flow tests; and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council that such tests should
be made; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager in compliance with the Policy for
Procurement of Professional Services, as approved by the City Council on
August 12, 1991, has obtained a proposal from Legend Technical Services to
conduct an Air Quality Study of the Civic Center and City Garage at a cost not
to exceed $5,000; and
WHEREAS, the Capital Projects Fund was established by Resolution No.
68 -246 for the purpose of financing major permanent facilities as needed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of
Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that:
ATTEST:
1. The proposed Air Quality Study is hereby approved and will be
designated as Improvement Project No. 1992 -14.
2. All costs for this project shall be allocated from the Capital
Projects Fund.
3. The proposal submitted by Legend Technical Services to provide
professional services as needed relating to these improvements at.
a total cost not to exceed $5,000 is hereby accepted. The Mayor
and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to execute an
agreement with said firm on the basis of that propo

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Jerry Pedlar and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof:
Todd Paulson, Celia Scott, Jerry Pedlar, Dave Rosene, and Philip Cohen;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
