HomeMy WebLinkAbout1992-141 CCR1 1 1 Member Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: June 8, 1992 Date ATTEST: 41 Deputy Clerk RESOLUTION NO. 92 -141 RESOLUTION CALLING FOR PUBLIC HEARING TO AMEND YEAR XVIII OF THE HENNEPIN URBAN COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center through the Economic Development Authority desires to develop and implement a business expansion and job retention program; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Brooklyn Center to expand the local area job base; and WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center intends to finance the initial survey and analysis portion of the program with Community Development Block Grant funds. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Brooklyn Center to call for a public hearing to amend Year XVIII of the Hennepin Urban County Community Development Block Grant Program in the amount of $30,000 for a business expansion and job retention program. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the public hearing be set for July 13, 1992, at 7:15 p.m. Todd Paulson, Mayor The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Jerry Pedlar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Todd Paulson, Celia Scott, Jerry Pedlar, and Dave Rosene; and the following voted against the same: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. Philip Cohen abstained.
