adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 92 -154
RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 1992 EMPLOYEE POSITION AND CLASSIFICATION PLAN
WHEREAS, City of Brooklyn Center Resolution No. 91 -283 set wages and
salaries for calendar year 1992 by the adoption of the 1992 Employee Position
and Classification Plan; and
WHEREAS, on August 13, 1990, the City Council adopted Resolution No.
90 -166, establishing the City's Retirement Health Insurance Program; and
WHEREAS, the Retirement Health Insurance Program did provide health
insurance benefits for qualified employees who were to retire on or before
December 15, 1995; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 179A.20, Subd. 2a, limits the period of
time for which a City may obligate itself to pay benefits provided by Resolution
No. 90 -166; and
WHEREAS, the obligations imposed on the City by this resolution are
subject to limitations of law, including Minnesota Statutes 179A.20, Aubd. 2a,
pursuant to which such obligations will expire unless reenacted from time -to -time
by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is in the best
interest of the City of Brooklyn Center to continue such benefits as are provided
by Resolution No. 90 -166; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to reenact such obligations on an
annual basis and make the program a part of the City's Employee Position and
Classification Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center to reenact the obligations of the City's Retirement Health
Insurance Program through December 31, 1992 by amending the 1992 Employee Position
and Classification Plan to include Schedule L, Retirement Health Insurance Program,
which is attached and made a part of this resolution.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Jerry Pedlar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof:
Todd Paulson, Celia Scott, Jerry Pedlar, Dave Rosene, and Philip Cohen;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
