HomeMy WebLinkAbout1992-037 CCR1 1 1 (RESPLAY) Member Dave Rosene introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center passed Resolution 68 -246 which established a Capital Improvements Fund in order to provide for certain major, permanent facilities needed by the city; and WHEREAS, the Park and Recreation Commission recommended to the City Council at its December 3, 1990 meeting that the City should commit $15,000 to participate with the Anoka Hennepin School District in the construction of a playground project at Evergreen Park School; and WHEREAS, the City Council discussed the matter again at its May 3, 1991 meeting and approved by motion that $15,000 from the Capital Improvements Fund be committed to the project; and WHEREAS, construction has now been completed and the school has invoiced the City for its promised $15,000. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The amount of $15,000 is appropriated from the Capital Improvements Fund for the Evergreen Park School Playground. 2. Payment of $15,000 to Evergreen Park School is approved. 3. The project is declared to be final and closed. February 24, 1992 RESOLUTION NO. 92 -37 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN APPROPRIATION FROM THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS FUND FOR THE CITY'S SHARE OF THE COST OF THE EVERGREEN PARK SCHOOL PLAYGROUND PROJECT Date Todd Paulson, Mayor ATTEST: Deputy Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Jerry Pedlar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Todd Paulson, Celia Scott, Jerry Pedlar, Dave Rosene, and Philip Cohen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
