HomeMy WebLinkAbout1992-064 CCR1 1 1 March 30, 1992 Date ATTEST: Deputy Clerk Member Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 92 SUPPORT OF BROOKLYN CENTER LOCAL LIOUOR AND RESTAURANT TAX WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center has supported additional revenue sources to stabilize annual flow of City revenue; and WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center has consistently favored multiple sources of revenue for financing municipal services. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that is in favor of passage of House File 2940 authorizing the creation of a local liquor and restaurant tax within the boundaries of Brooklyn Center. Todd Paulson, Mayor The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Jerry Pedlar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Todd Paulson, Celia Scott, Jerry Pedlar, Dave Rosene, and Philip Cohen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
