HomeMy WebLinkAbout1991-227 CCRMember Philip Cohen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: September 9, 1991 Date RESOLUTION NO. 91 -227 RESOLUTION URGING MODIFICATION OF 1992 COUNCIL BUDGET AND WORK PROGRAM Todd Paulson, Mayor METROPOLITAN WHEREAS, The City of Brooklyn Center has long supported efforts of the Metropolitan Council; and WHEREAS, Brooklyn Center, in conjunction with the Association of Metropolitan Municipalities has reviewed the Council's 1992 Budget and Work Program; and WHEREAS, Brooklyn Center has established neighborhood revitalization as a top priority; and WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center supports the concept of joint planning efforts between the Metropolitan Council and local units of government. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Brooklyn Center that the Metropolitan Council is urged to include in its 1992 Human Services Work Plan a comprehensive study of resources needed to address neighborhood and community revitalization such as housing education, health and human services. ATTEST: AGI(16 t L. l C" Deputy Cler The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Jerry Pedlar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Todd Paulson, Celia Scott, Jerry Pedlar, Dave Rosene, and Philip Cohen and the following voted against the same: none whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
