HomeMy WebLinkAbout1991-261 CCR1 1 Member Celia Scott resolution and moved its adoption: WHEREAS, all applications for abatement of property tax must be initiated at the local level; and WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center Assessor's Office has experienced an increase in the cost of processing these applications; and WHEREAS, the current fee of $15.00 per application is insufficient to cover the City's cost; and WHEREAS, the City Assessor has recommended that the amount of $45.00 per application would be a reasonable estimate of the costs of processing an application for abatement. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the City Assessor is hereby authorized to establish a $45.00 per application fee for the processing of applications for abatements in the City. ATTEST: November 18, 1991 Date RESOLUTION NO. 91 -261 introduced the following RESOLUTION TO INCREASE THE PROCESSING FEE CHARGED ON APPLICATIONS FOR TAX ABATEMENTS BY THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER ASSESSOR'S OFFICE Deputy Clety Todd Paulson, Mayor The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Dave Rosene and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Todd Paulson, Celia Scott, Dave Rosene, and Philip Cohen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
