HomeMy WebLinkAbout1991-118 CCR Member Philip Cohen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 91 -118 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE 1991 DISEASED TREE REMOVAL PROGRAM, APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS AND DIRECTING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1991 -06, CONTRACT 1991 -G BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that: 1. The following project is hereby established: DISEASED TREE REMOVAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1991 -06 2. The specifications for Contract 1991 -G for said improvement project are approved and ordered filed with the City Clerk. 3. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted at least twice in the official newspaper and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published as required by law, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that said bids will be received by the City Clerk until the date and time specified, at which time they will be publicly opened at City Hall by the City Clerk and the City Engineer. Subsequently, the bids shall be tabulated and will then be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City for 5 percent of the total amount of such bid. 4. The accounting for the project shall be in the Tree Removal Fund. April 8, 1991 Date Todd Paulson, Mayor ATTEST: Deputy Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Celia Scott and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Todd Paulson, Celia Scott, Jerry Pedlar, Dave Rosene, and Philip Cohen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
