HomeMy WebLinkAbout1991-010 CCRMember Dave Rosene introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 91 -10 RESOLUTION EXPRESSING APPRECIATION FOR COUNCIL APPLICANT ULYSSESS BOYD WHEREAS, Ulyssess Boyd has an established record of service to the City of Brooklyn Center; and WHEREAS, Ulyssess Boyd has demonstrated to the City Council the skills necessary to do a fine job as a member of the City Council; and WHEREAS, applying for appointment to the City Council, in itself, demonstrates both a commitment to the city and personal strength of character; and WHEREAS, the fact that Ulyssess Boyd was not appointed at this time should be viewed as a result of the very high quality of a large number of applicants, but in no way due to any problems of the Council with Ulyssess Boyd. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center commends Ulyssess Boyd for his civic spirit, wishes Ulyssess Boyd well in all future governmental endeavors, and extends to Ulyssess Boyd its gratitude for all that he has already done to make Brooklyn Center a desirable place in which to live. January 14. 1991 Date Mayor ATTEST: OrffrOA-Lnt f Paxie Deputy Clerk U The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Jerry Pedlar, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Todd Paulson, Dave Rosene, Celia Scott, and Jerry Pedlar. and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
