and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 91 -81
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC UTILITIES FUND TO PURCHASE A
LEASED VEHICLE FOR THE CITY MANAGER'S USE
WHEREAS, the City Manager currently receives a mileage allowance
for the use of his personal auto for business functions; and

WHEREAS, in the past the City has purchased a vehicle for the City
Manager's use; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it would be
advantageous to the City to again purchase a vehicle; and
WHEREAS, quotations were received from five leasing companies for a
compact car for the City Manager's use as follows:

CV Fleet $7,900
Walser Chrysler Plymouth $7,990
Brookdale Chrysler Plymouth $8,088
Auto Net Leasing $8,350
North Star Dodge $8,500
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center that the purchase of a 1990 leased vehicle from CV Fleet in
the amount of $7,900 is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the cost of this vehicle will funded by the
Public Utilities Fund account #72 -4553- 000 -00.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by j
member Dave Rosene and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Celia Scott, Jerry Pedlar, Dave Rosene, and Philip Cohen;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
