HomeMy WebLinkAbout1990-136 CCR Member Philip Cohen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 90 -136 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH HENNEPIN COUNTY TO QUALIFY AS AN URBAN COUNTY UNDER THE U.S. CDBG PROGRAM WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, and the County of Hennepin have in effect a Joint Cooperation Agreement, County Contract No. 70458, for the purposes of qualifying as an Urban County under the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant program; and WHEREAS, the City and the County wish to terminate the current Agreement and execute a new Joint Cooperation Agreement, County Contract No. A04700, to reconstitute Urban Hennepin County for purposes of the Community Development Block Grant program. BE IT RESOLVED, that the current Joint Cooperation Agreement between the City and the County, County Contract No. 70458, be terminated effective September 30, 1990, and a new Joint Cooperation Agreement between the City and the County, County Contract No. A04700, be executed effective October 1, 1990, and the Mayor and the City Manager be authorized and directed to sign the Agreement on behalf of the City. July 9, 1990 Date Mayors ATTEST:- Deputy Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Celia Scott and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Celia Scott, Todd Paulson, and Philip Cohen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
