HomeMy WebLinkAbout1990-176 CCR1 1 Member Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 90 -176 RESOLUTION APPROVING SICK LEAVE AND VACATION BENEFITS FOR THE NEW POLICE OFFICER WHEREAS, the city council determines it is appropriate to authorize certain sick leave and vacation benefits for the new police officer, Curtis Lund, based on the facts of his experience as a police officer and his previous work record with the City of Brooklyn Center. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the city manager is hereby authorized to include the following benefits in the conditions of appointment for new police officer, Curtis Lund: 1. a 96 hour block of sick leave which can be used during the first year of employment, but which must be earned before additional hours accumulate; and 2. vacation accrual to begin with three weeks vacation per year, giving credit for the first we years worke s %th the city. Deputy Clerk ayor The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Jerry Pedlar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Celia Scott, Todd Paulson, Jerry Pedlar, and Philip Cohen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
