resolution and moved its adoption:
WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center has renovated the
Earle Brown Farm as a Convention /Banquet facility; and
WHEREAS, it would be advantageous to have the ability
to serve liquor at appropriate functions; and
WHEREAS, Brooklyn Center with its municipal off -sale
liquor is limited by statute to issuing on -sale liquor licenses
to restaurants and hotels only.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Brooklyn Center that the City request from the state
legislature special authority to issue one on -sale liquor license
for the Earle Brown Heritage Convention Center.

LIQUOR LICENSE FROM THE STATE OF MINNESOTA FOR THE
EARLE BROWN HERITAGE CONVENTION CENTER

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by member Todd Paulson and upon vote being taken
thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist,
Celia Scott, Todd Paulson, Jerry Pedlar, and Philip Cohen;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
