RESOLUTION NO. 90 -111 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNAL SYSTEMS AT THE INTERSECTIONS OF FREEWAY BOULEVARD WITH SHINGLE CREEK PARKWAY, AT FREEWAY BOULEVARD WITH HUMBOLDT AVENUE, AND AT 65TH AVENUE NORTH WITH DUPONT AVENUE NORTH, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NOS. 1988 -25, 1990 -11 AND 1990 -12, CONTRACT 1990 -E WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Improvement Project Nos. 1988 -25, 1990 -11 and 1990 -12, bids were received, opened, and tabulated by the City Clerk and Engineer, on the 8th day of May, 1990. Said bids were as follows: Bid Amount $183,385.00 $186,238.00 $193,200.00 WHEREAS, it appears that Killmer Electric Co., Inc. of Maple Grove, Minnesota, is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that: 1. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Killmer Electric Co., Inc. of Maple Grove, Minnesota in the name of the City of Brooklyn Center, for Improvement Project Nos. 1988 -25, 1990 -11 and 1990 -12 according to the plans and specifications therefor approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposit of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. 3. The estimated cost of Improvement Project Nos. 1988 -25, 1990 -11 and 1990 -12 is hereby amended from $269,100 to $216,627.67.
