HomeMy WebLinkAbout1990-022 CCR1 1 1 Member Jerry Pedlar introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT FOR THE FORMATION AND ADMINISTRATION OF THE HENNEPIN -ANOKA SUBURBAN DRUG TASK FORCE WHEREAS, the four communities of Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, Maple Grove and Coon Rapids propose to combine forces to investigate major drug cases; and WHEREAS, the four communities have applied for and received a grant to be used to investigate major drug cases; and WHEREAS, Brooklyn Center has approved in its 1990 budget the matching funds required for participation in the task force; and WHEREAS, this effort requires a joint powers agreement between the communities to form and administer the task force. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the Mayor and City Manager are authorized to enter into a joint powers agreement for the formation and administration of the Hennepin -Anoka Suburban Drug Task Force. January 29, 1990 Date Al lEST: c Clerk RESOLUTION NO. 90 -22 ayor 1 1 1 RESOLUTION NO. 90 -22 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Celia Scott and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Celia Scott, Todd Paulson, Jerry Pedlar, and Philip Cohen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
