HomeMy WebLinkAbout1989-228 CCR1 1 1 Member Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: November 27, 1989 Date ATTEST: Clerk RESOLUTION NO. 89 -228 RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION OF AND APPRECIATION FOR THE DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE OF DIANE LEMKE ZIEGLER, WHEREAS, Diane Lemke Ziegler, is a lifelong resident of Brooklyn Center; and WHEREAS, she has been active in volunteer services in and for the City including service on the Human Rights Commission. WHEREAS, she is the founder of ABLE (Association for Blind Living and Education.) WHEREAS, Diane Lemke Ziegler has been named by the McKnight Foundation as one of the ten in the State of Minnesota for their significant contributions in human services. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, on behalf of all citizens of Brooklyn Center, congratulates and commends Diane Lemke Ziegler for achieving the award and expresses thanks for her many contributions to the City and State. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Todd Paulson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Celia Scott, Todd Paulson, and Jerry Pedlar; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
