HomeMy WebLinkAbout1989-185 CCR1 1 1 Member Todd Paulson resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 89 185 introduced the following RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION OF AND APPRECIATION FOR THE DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE OF JANE ALFORD WHEREAS, Jane Alford served on the Brooklyn Center Earle Brown Days Committee from 1982 to 1989; and WHEREAS, Jane Alford served as the Earle Brown Days Treasurer from 1982 to 1989; and WHEREAS, Jane Alford served as Earle Brown Days Chairperson for the 1989 festival; and WHEREAS, her public service and civic effort for the betterment of the community merit the gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center; and WHEREAS, her leadership and expertise has been greatly appreciated by the Brooklyn Center Earle Brown Days Committee; and WHEREAS, it is highly appropriate that her service to the community should be recognized and expressed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the dedicated public service of Jane Alford is hereby recognized and appreciated by the City of Brooklyn Center. September 25, 1989 Date May 2 ATTEST: of Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Jerry Pedlar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Todd Paulson, Jerry Pedlar, and Philip Cohen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
