Member Todd Paulson introduced the following resolution
and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 89 -205
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF NORSTAN, INC. TO
PROVIDE A TELEPHONE SYSTEM FOR THE CITY HALL /CIVIC
CENTER COMPLEX AND THE EARLE BROWN HERITAGE CENTER
WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center's
system is a continued maintenance problem; and
WHEREAS, the City requested bids for a
the City Hall /Civic Center complex and the Earle
Center; and
WHEREAS, the City has received bids as follows:

WHEREAS, Norstan, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder
when bids were present valued over a seven -year period.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Brooklyn Center that the bid of Norstan, Inc. in the
amount of $113,905.02 be accepted and authorize the Mayor and
City Manager to enter into an agreement with Norstan, Inc.; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the cost of this project
shall be allocated as follows:

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by member Celia Scott, and upon vote being taken
thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist,
Celia Scott, Todd Paulson, and Philip Cohen;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
