HomeMy WebLinkAbout1989-205 CCR1 1 1 Member Todd Paulson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 89 -205 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF NORSTAN, INC. TO PROVIDE A TELEPHONE SYSTEM FOR THE CITY HALL /CIVIC CENTER COMPLEX AND THE EARLE BROWN HERITAGE CENTER WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center's system is a continued maintenance problem; and WHEREAS, the City requested bids for a the City Hall /Civic Center complex and the Earle Center; and WHEREAS, the City has received bids as follows: Company Norstan, Inc. Telecom North U.S. West new system for Brown Heritage Bid $113,905.02 142,369.00 249,441.19 WHEREAS, Norstan, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder when bids were present valued over a seven -year period. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the bid of Norstan, Inc. in the amount of $113,905.02 be accepted and authorize the Mayor and City Manager to enter into an agreement with Norstan, Inc.; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the cost of this project shall be allocated as follows: October 23, 1989 Date ATTEST: Capital Projects Fund Economic Development Authority of Brooklyn Center a $30,0 O7.60 Clerk $83,897.42 Mayo present phone The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Celia Scott, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Celia Scott, Todd Paulson, and Philip Cohen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
