HomeMy WebLinkAbout1989-049 CCRMember Gene Lhotka resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO.p-49 RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION OF AND APPRECIATION FOR THE DEDICATED SERVICE OF THE STREET MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, on March 3, 1989, the Twin Cities area was inundated with a snow storm; and WHEREAS, vehicular travel was near to impossible in some areas; and WHEREAS, members of the street, park, and public utilities departments worked many long hours to make travel within the city limits of Brooklyn Center possible; and WHEREAS, all people who live in, work in, or travel through the city of Brooklyn Center greatly appreciate the time and effort expended by the members of these departments. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that all members of the street, park, and public utilities department are hereby commended for their superb snow plowing expertise. March 13, 1989 Date introduced the following ATTEST: 2QiILcJ Deputy City Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Celia Scott and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Gene Lhotka, Celia Scott, Todd Paulson, and Jerry Pedlar; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
