HomeMy WebLinkAbout1989-046 CCRMember Celia Scott resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 89 -46 introduced the following RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION OF AND APPRECIATION FOR THE DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE OF MARIE CASTLE, WHEREAS, Marie Castle served on the Brooklyn Center Charter Commission from February 14, 1985, to February 15, 1989; and WHEREAS, Marie Castle has always been willing to serve on various ad hoc committees throughout her term; and WHEREAS, her public service and civic effort for the betterment of the community merit the gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center; and WHEREAS, her leadership and expertise has been greatly appreciated by the Brooklyn Center Charter Commission; and WHEREAS, it is highly appropriate that her service to the community should be recognized and expressed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the dedicated public service of Marie Castle is hereby recognized and appreciated by the City of Brooklyn Center. March 13, 1989 Date ATTEST:(3 /).y 3r L Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Jerry Pedlar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Gene Lhotka, Celia Scott, Todd Paulson, and Jerry Pedlar; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
