HomeMy WebLinkAbout1989-096 CCR1 1 Member Todd Paulson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: Date ATTEST: May 22, 1989 Clerk RESOLUTION NO. 89 -96 RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING GIFT FROM THE BROOKLYN CENTER ROTARY CLUB WHEREAS, THE BROOKLYN CENTER ROTARY CLUB has presented the City a gift of seven hundred dollars ($700) and has designated that $300 be used to provide entertainment in the park and $400 be used to provide flowers in Central Park; and WHEREAS, the City Council is appreciative of the gift and commends the Brooklyn Center Rotary Club for its civic efforts: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center to acknowledge the gift with gratitude; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that $300 be appropriated to the Parks and Recreation Department General Recreation Budget to be used for the "Entertainment in the Park" Program; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that $400 be appropriated to the Government Buildings Grounds Maintenance Landscaping Budget to be used for purchasing flowers for Central Park. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Celia Scott and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Celia Scott, Todd Paulson, and Jerry Pedlar; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
