HomeMy WebLinkAbout1988-138 CCR1 Member Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 88 138 RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 1988 GENERAL FUND BUDGET TO PROVIDE FOR PURCHASE OF TREES TO REPLACE TREES LOST BECAUSE OF DROUGHT WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that it is desirable to replace trees and other plantings in the City's parks and parkways which died as a result of the severe drought conditions which occurred during the summer of 1988; and WHEREAS, the City has established a Capital Projects Fund to provide funds and to account for the expenditure of such funds for major capital outlays (which shall include, but not be limited to, construction or acquisition of major permanent facilities having a relatively long life); and /or to reduce debt incurred for capital outlays. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the sum of $5000 is appropriated to the Parks Maintenance Division 69 of the General Fund from the Capital Projects Fund balance to fund the replacement of diseased trees in City parks and parkways.
