HomeMy WebLinkAbout1988-140 CCR1 Member Celia Scott resolution and moved its adoption: ATTEST: �d1, RESOLUTION NO. 88 -140 introduced the following RESOLUTION APPOINTING GERALD G. SPLINTER TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF HENNEPIN RECYCLING GROUP WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center intends to comply with Hennepin County Ordinance No. 13 requiring the City to recycle 16% of the City's waste by 1990; and WHEREAS, the City passed Resolution No. 88 -24 authorizing Brooklyn Center's membership in a joint powers group known as the Hennepin Recycling Group with Crystal and New Hope to implement joint recycling programs; and WHEREAS, the joint powers agreement requires the City to appoint a representative to the Board of the Hennepin Recycling Group. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the City Manager Gerald G. Splinter be appointed to represent the City of Brooklyn Center on the board of directors of the iennepin Recycling Group. September 6, 1988 Date Clerk May The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Hawes and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Gene Lhotka, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes, and Rich Theis; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
