HomeMy WebLinkAbout1988-200 CCR1 1 1 Member moved its adoption: Gene Lhotka introduced the following resolution and RESOLUTION NO. 88 200 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF MINNESOTA, DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SERVICE FOR A COMMUNITY ENERGY PROGRAM WHEREAS, Brooklyn Center Resolution No. 88 -67 authorized the City of Brooklyn Center to act as lead community in initiating a joint agreement with the cities of Crystal and Golden Valley for the Governor's Community Energy Program to be funded by Minnegasco, Northern States Power, and the State of Minnesota's Department of Public Service, Energy Division; and WHEREAS, Energy Division, Statutes, Section Brooklyn Center, programs. the State of Minnesota's Department of Public Service, has appropriated $48,583.00, as empowered by Minnesota 216C. 381, to provide financial assistance to the cities of Crystal, and Golden Valley to implement community energy NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the mayor and city manager are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with the State of Minnesota, Department of Public Service, for a community energy program. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Brooklyn Center enters into this agreement on behalf of the cities of Brooklyn Center, Crystal, and Golden Valley for community energy programs.
