HomeMy WebLinkAbout1988-201 CCRMember Bill Hawes introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: WHEREAS, Brooklyn Center Resolution No. 88 -67 authorized the City of Brooklyn Center to act as lead community in initiating a joint agreement with the cities of Crystal and Golden Valley for the Governor's Community Energy Program to be funded by Minnegasco, Northern States Power, and the State of Minnesota's Department of Public Service, Energy Division; and WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota's Department of Public Service, Energy Division, has appropriated $48,583.00, to the three cities for administrative costs associated with the community energy program; and WHEREAS, the West Hennepin Human Services Planning Board has been the lead agency in coordinating and implementing the community energy programs in other metropolitan cities. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the mayor and city manager are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with the West Hennepin Human Services Planning Board, on behalf of the cities of Brooklyn Center, Crystal, and Golden Valley, to coordinate and implement community energy programs in the three cities. RR -201_ The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Rich Theis and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist,_Gene Lhotka, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes, and Rich Theis; and the following against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
