HomeMy WebLinkAbout1988-213 CCR(ARABFSA) 1 1 Member Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 88 -213 RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 1988 GENERAL FUND BUDGET TO PROVIDE FOR WAGE AND SALARY ADJUSTMENTS WHEREAS, Section 7.08 of the City Charter of the City of Brooklyn Center does provide that the City Council may, by majority vote of its members, transfer unencumbered appropriation balances from one office, department, or agency to another within the same fund; and WHEREAS, on October 5, 1987, the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center adopted a budget for the calendar year 1988; and WHEREAS, when said budget was adopted, 1988 salaries and wages for some City employees had not been set; and WHEREAS, the City Council did appropriate funds for departmental labor and fringe benefits in the amount of $230,014 to Unallocated Departmental Expense (Department #80) to provide funds for 1988 salary and wage settlements; and WHEREAS, all wages and salaries for the calendar year 1988 have either been set by the Council or a reasonable estimate can be made for those wages and salaries not yet settled. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center to transfer $220,112 from the following Unallocated Departmental Expense (Department #80) appropriations: 01 -4100 Salaries, Regular Employees 01 -4141 PERA Regular 01 -4142 PERA Combined 01 --4143 PERA Police 01 -4144 Social Security 01 -4151 Hospitalization Insurance 01 -4152 Life Insurance 01 -4157 Deferred Compensation 184,873 1,035 5,018 7,666 8,599 12,642 138 141 220,112; and Salaries melt cr Regular Division 4100 Total RESOLUTION NO. 88 -213 Increase the following departmental or divisional appropriations in the total amount of $220,112 as follows: Salaries Salaries PERA PERA PERA Medi- Health Life Dental Deferred Overtime Temporary Regular Caribined Police FICA Care Incur.
