HomeMy WebLinkAbout1988-036 CCRMember Bill Hawes introduced the following resolution and moved adoption: ATTEST: March 14, 1988 Date RESOLUTION NO. 88 -36 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER TO ACT AS CONTRACTOR FOR A GRANT AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WHEREAS, the Brooklyn Center Crime Prevention Fund would like to make application for a matching fund grant from the Department of Public Safety; and WHEREAS, the gant money can only be given to an organization with taxing powers; and WHEREAS, the Brooklyn Center Crime Prevention Fund has requested the City of Brooklyn Center to act as contractor for this grant. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the City is hereby authorized to act as contractor for a crime prevention grant from the Department of Public Safety. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute said agreement. 7 1 Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Rich Theis and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Gene Lhotka, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes, and Rich Theis; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. 1
