HomeMy WebLinkAbout1987-209 CCR1 Member Gene Lhotka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 87 -209 RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING GIFT FROM THE BROOKLYN CENTER LIONS CLUB WHEREAS, THE BROOKLYN CENTER LIONS CLUB has presented the City a gift of three hundred fifteen dollars ($315) and has designated that it be used to purchase a portable breath testing simulator for the Brooklyn Center Police Department; and WHEREAS, the City Council is appreciative of the gift and commends the Brooklyn Center Lions Club for its civic efforts: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center to acknowledge the gift with gratitude; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the gift of $315 be appropriated to the General Fund Police Department Budget to be used to purchase one portable breath testing simulator. ATTEST: ok) -V co Clerk November 9, 1987 Date M� The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Rich Theis and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Gene Lhotka, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes, and Rich Theis; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
