HomeMy WebLinkAbout1987-252 CCRMember Gene Lhotka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: December 28, 1987 Date ATTEST: 44i4 RESOLUTION NO. 87 -252 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING GIFT OF PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE DOCUMENTS TO TRANSFER SAID PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER, WHEREAS, ATA Industries, Inc. is the owner of certain real property in the City of Brooklyn Center legally described as: Block 6, Hipp's 4th Addition, Hennepin County, Lot 3, PID# 02 118 21 22 Lot 3A, PID# 02 118 21 22 Lot 4, PID# 02 118 21 22 Lot 5, PID# 02 118 21 22 Lot 6, PID# 02 118 21 22 Lot 7, PID# 02 118 21 22 0055; 0056; 0057; 0058; 0059; and 0060; (hereinafter referred to as the "Subject Property and WHEREAS, ATA Industries, Inc. desires to make a gift of the Subject Property to the City of Brooklyn Center to be used for any lawful purpose in the same manner and subject only to the same conditions as other real property owned by the City; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the best interest of the public to accept the proposed donation of the Subject Property to the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that: 1. The offered gift of the Subject Property by ATA Industries, Inc. is hereby accepted for and on behalf of the City of Brooklyn Center. 2. The Mayor and City Manager are authorized and directed to receive the gift of the Subject Property and to execute any documents necessary to accomplish transfer of the Subject Property to the City of Brooklyn Center. /(7)— j2 Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Rich Theis and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Gene Lhotka, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes, and Rich Theis; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
