HomeMy WebLinkAbout1987-142 CCRMember Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: Contract Engineering Administration Legal RESOLUTION NO. 87 -142 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND APPROVING CONTRACT 1987 -G (1987 SEALCOATING PROGRAM. IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1987 -09) WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Improvement Project No. 1987 -09, a bid was received, opened, and tabulated by the City Clerk and Engineer, on the 9th day of July, 1987. Said bid was as follows: Bidder Bid Amount Allied Blacktop Company 100,116.31 WHEREAS, it appears that Allied Blacktop Company of Maple Grove, Minnesota, is the lowest responsible bidder: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota: 1. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract, in the amount of $100,116.31 with Allied Blacktop Company of Maple Grove, Minnesota in the name of the City of Brooklyn Center, for Improvement Project No. 1987 -09 according to the plans and specifications therefor approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposit of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that: 1. The estimated cost of Improvement Project No amended according to the following schedule: As Approved 117,600 As Bid 100,116.31 3,500.00 400.00 0.00 104,016.31 2. The estimated costs will be financed in Division 42. 1987 -09 is hereby 1 RESOLUTION NO. 87 142 ATTEST: July 13, 1987 Date •k .49 Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Rich Theis and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Gene Lhotka, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes, and Rich Theis; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
