HomeMy WebLinkAbout1987-191 CCR1 Member Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 87 191 RESOLUTION APPROVING PROPOSAL FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES RELATING TO RELOCATION OF STORM SEWER BETWEEN LOTS 46 AND 47, BLOCK 6, PEARSONS'S NORTHPORT 3RD ADDITION AND ESTABLISHING PROJECT NO. 1987 -22 WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council that an engineering study is required to assist in resolving a conflict resulting from the encroachment of the house located on Lot 46, Block 6, Pearson's Northport 3rd Addition and the storm sewer system which is located within the public utility easement on that lot; and WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has obtained a proposal from the Westwood Planning and Engineering Company to conduct the required study at a cost not to exceed $2,500.00 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that: 1. The following project is hereby established: IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1987 -22, RELOCATION OF STORM SEWER BETWEEN 5806 AND 5812 HALIFAX AVENUE NORTH 2. The proposal submitted by the Westwood Planning and Engineering Company to conduct the study at a cost not to exceed $2,500.00 is hereby accepted and approved. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to execute this agreement. 3. The accounting for this project shall be done in the Special Assessments Fund. 4. There is appropriated the sum of $2,500.00 from the Municipal State Aid Funds No. 2600 fund balance to pay the costs of consulting services. October 5, 1987 Date ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Hawes and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Gene Lhotka, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes, and Rich Theis; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
