HomeMy WebLinkAbout1987-038 CCRMember Gene Lhotka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 87 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1987 -05 (COMMUNITY CENTER IMPROVEMENTS) AND APPROVING AGREEMENT TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES RELATING THERETO BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that: 1. The following project is hereby established and will be designated as Project No. 1987 -05: ATTEST: 1),MOL Clerk COMMUNITY CENTER IMPROVEMENTS. Said improvement shall include the redecorating and recarpeting of the Social Hall and of the Upper and Lower Lobbies, tuck pointing of deteriorated mortar joints on the exterior walls of the building, and reroofing and reinsulation of the roof of the building. 2. The accounting for this project will be done in the Community Center Division No. 66 of the General Fund. 3. The proposal submitted by Carlson Mjorud Architecture Ltd. to provide architectural and engineering services related to this improvement is hereby approved. Compensation for services rendered by the architect shall be based as follows: "Category 1" services shall be based on the hourly billing rates per the 1987 fee schedule included in the proposal. The total compensation for "Category 1" costs shall not exceed $14,000. "Category 2" services shall be compensated at the hourly billing rates per the 1987 fee schedule attached to the proposal. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to execute said agreement on behalf of the City of Brooklyn Center. February 23, 1987 Date The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Celia Scott and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Gene Lhotka, Celia Scott, and Rich Theis; and the following voted against the same: Bill Hawes, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
