RESOLUTION NO.
87 -75
introduced the following
RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION OF AND APPRECIATION
FOR THE DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE OF PASTOR CARL J.
GROETTUM
WHEREAS, Pastor Groettum founded Cross of Glory
Church in 1956; and
WHEREAS, since that time he has been the Senior Pastor
of Cross of Glory Lutheran Church; and
WHEREAS, he is the past Chairman of the Minneapolis
Conference of ALC Churches; and
WHEREAS, Pastor Groettum will be retiring on June 30,
WHEREAS, his public service and civic effort for the
betterment of the community merit the gratitude of the citizens
of Brooklyn Center; and
WHEREAS, it is highly appropriate that his service
the community should be recognized and expressed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
the City of Brooklyn Center that the dedicated public service
Pastor Carl J. Groettum is hereby recognized and appreciated
the City of Brooklyn Center.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by member Bill Hawes and upon vote being taken
thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist,
Celia Scott, Bill Hawes, and Rich Theis;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
