RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF AN
AMENDMENT TO THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FOR YEAR XI AND
TO HENNEPIN COUNTY FOR A CONSIDERATION AS
PART OF THE URBAN HENNEPIN COUNTY COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM, IN
ACCORDANCE WITH HOUSING AND COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1974. AS AMENDED
WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center has executed a
cooperation agreement with Hennepin County agreeing to
participate in the Urban Hennepin County Community Development
Block Program; and
WHEREAS, the three year Community Development Program
and Housing Assistance Plan has been prepared consistent with the
Comprehensive Urban Hennepin County Community Development
strategy and the Community Development Program regulations; and
WHEREAS, the three year Community Development Program
and Housing Assistance Plan has been subject to citizen review
pursuant to the Urban Hennepin County Citizen Participation Plan;
and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Brooklyn Center approve the amendments to program
year XI as follows:
Year XI Project
Rehab Private Project 421002
Year XI
That the above project #21002 in the amount of $100,000
be reprogrammed for a new project for the removal of slum and
blight through the acquisition of the Earle Brown Farm State
Historic site Project #21001.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by member Bill Hawes and upon vote being taken
thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist,
Gene thotka, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes, and Rich Theis;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
