HomeMy WebLinkAbout1986-184 CCR1 Member adoption: Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and moved its RESOLUTION NO. 86 -184 RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 1986 GENERAL FUND BUDGET WHEREAS, Section 7.09 of the City Charter of the City of Brooklyn Center does provide for a contingency appropriation as a part of the General Fund Budget, and further provides that the contingency appropriation may be transferred to any other appropriation by the City Council; and WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center Police Department has determined that it is in the best interest of its police officers to provide bullet -proof vests to all of its police officers; and WHEREAS, the cost of providing all police officers with bullet -proof vests is estimated to be $12,000; and WHEREAS, the cost of providing bullet -proof vests was not provided for in the 1986 General Fund Budget. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center to amend the 1986 General Fund Budget as follows: Increase the Appropriations for the following line items: Police Protection Other Equipment Capital Outlay Account No. 01 -4552- 000 -31 by $12,000 Decrease the Appropriations for the following line items: Unallocated Departmental Expenses Contingency Account No. 01 -4995- 000 -80 by $12,000 November 10, 1986 Date May ATTEST:, lid Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Hawes and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Gene Lhotka, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes, and Rich Theis; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
