HomeMy WebLinkAbout1985-204 CCRMember Bill Hawes introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 85 -204 RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION OF AND APPRECIATION FOR THE DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE OF GEORGE MAYLEBEN WHEREAS, George Mayleben served as a member of the Brooklyn Center Human Rights Commission from April 7, 1980 through November 13, 1985; and [1 WHEREAS, his devotion to the tasks and responsibilities of the Commission contributed substantially to the sound progress and development of the City; and WHEREAS, his public service and civic effort for the betterment of the community merit the gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center; and WHEREAS, it is highly appropriate that his service to the community should be recognized and expressed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the dedicated public service of George Mayleben as a member of the Human Rights Commission is hereby recognized and appreciated by the City of Brooklyn Center. November 18, 1985 Date ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Gene Lhotka and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Gene Lhotka, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes, and Rich Theis; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
