RESOLUTION N0. 85 -206
RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 1986 GENERAL FUND BUDGET TO PROVIDE
FOR THE CITY'S CONTRIBUTION TO THE FIVE CITIES SENIOR
TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM
WHEREAS, Section 7.09 of the City Charter of the City of Brooklyn Center
does provide for a contingency appropriation as part of the General Fund Budget, and
further provides that the contingency appropriation may be transferred to any other
appropriation by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in the Council Contingency Fund in the amount
of at least $8,000 to be transferred for general fund use; and
WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center is a participant in the Five Cities
Senior Transportation Program; and
WHEREAS, the City's contribution to said program was not budgeted for in
the 1986 General Fund Budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn
Center to amend the 1986 General Fund Budget as follows:
Increase the Council Miscellaneous Budget Appropriation for dues and
subscriptions, Account No. 4413, by $8,000; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the increased appropriation shall be financed
from the Council Contingency Fund in the amount of $8,000.

The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by member Gene Lhotka and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Gene Lhotka, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes,
and Rich Theis;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
